Dr. Li Wei “Willy” Wong fell in love with the subject of human behavior (aka Behavior Analysis) back in 2004 when he took a class in Applied Behavior Analysis at California State University, Los Angeles. He graduated and received his master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis in the year of 2008 at the same university. In 2014, he received his Ph. D. in Applied Behavior Analysis at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and conducted his dissertation study in Parent Education. Dr. Wong is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral Level (BCBA-D).
In the past 10 years, Dr. Wong had worked with children and young adults ranging from 3- to 18-year-old. He had held different positions at different behavioral agencies. For example, he practiced as behavioral interventionist and clinical supervisor at Autism Spectrum Therapies (AST), Wellsprings, Inc., and Intercare Therapy Inc. Additionally, he also served as the Regional Clinical Director of the Inland Empire and Los Angeles regions at Creative Solutions for Hope and ICan-B. As of current, Dr. Wong is the Regional Director at Autism Recovery Network (Hong Kong). In addition to working directly with children and young adults, Dr. Wong also served as practicum instructor at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and adjunct faculty at National University to teach concepts of Applied Behavior Analysis to master level students.
Dr. Wong’s career goal is to take what he had learned about human behavior in school and apply the knowledge to make positive impact in the society. Throughout his career, he had worked with many children with developmental disabilities. He is always amazed by how much progress these children made after receiving early intervention and behavioral therapy services. Therefore, Dr. Wong is especially interested in helping young children with developmental disabilities and making positive changes in their life and surroundings.
